Berthoud Outdoor Courts Are Open!

The 8 Berthoud outdoor pickleball courts are open! The resurfacing is completed. Enjoy!

Snow Shoveling – No Metal Edged Tools

This requires use of a “non-metal snow shovel” for the removal. When we shovel the snow from the courts, please don’t push the snow to the EAST fence because the snow pile will melt and drain water back on the courts. Please shovel the snow to the West, North, and South, and getting it off the courts. Thanks to volunteers who help clear snow at the courts.

Annual Meeting, March 11th, 7:00pm

Are you willing to help Lead this Club? We are asking members to let us know if you are willing to serve as a Director for the Berthoud Pickleball Club this year. Please let us know before this annual meeting. We have 4 of the 5 Directors that do not plan to serve for the 2024 year.  ([email protected]).

Berthoud Waggener Farm Courts

The contractor has made progress on the 8 new courts for Berthoud at Waggener Farm Park.

The new Berthoud Pickleball courts have the nets, and the courts are lined on the cement. They believe it will be next spring before they are able to put down the actual finished court surface because of temperature requirements. There is work to be done on the complex, such as sidewalks and landscaping before they allow us to begin using them.

We ask that you do NOT try to play on the courts until the Berthoud Town Parks & Recreation department gives us a Green Light to use them. We believe the temporary construction fence will be down before they allow us to use the courts.

Regarding snow removal on these new courts. The Town Parks department is still reviewing their guidelines for snow removal, and they will let us know requirements and where snow is to be placed when it is done too.

BPC Members Social – July 29th

Saturday, July 29th,  8am – 12:00

We have reserved all 4 courts at Town Park for a Club members social. We will start at 8:00am while temperatures are cooler. The format will be Open Play, using the two paddle racks to coordinate court play.

We are asking those interested in bringing Pastries, Fruit, or Snack to share, that would be awesome!  We’ll have some tables and EZ up’s to help shade the food from the Sun. You can enjoy that large tree for shade with your lawn chair when resting or waiting to play.

We will have a few occasional drawings for small gift certificates to local businesses throughout the event, so submit a ticket when you arrive.

NOTE: The Town Park Courts will be closed permanently on July 31st. This will be our last coordinated event on these courts.

Women’s Doubles Event – Postponed

BPC Women’s Doubles Event, originally planned for July 22nd was postponed until the new courts are available to schedule.– For Berthoud Pickleball Club members Only

We are planning to coordinate two levels of play.

Competitive level that is playing for the Annual Traveling Trophy (Tracking wins, losses, and scores for the championship format.)

Recreational level that plays other teams for fun in a Structured Format. (Will not record the Wins/Losses, or Scores.)

Depending on the number of teams that sign up in each category will determine how we create the structure of play. We should get out details Friday night.

NEED HELP TO FIND A PARTNER ?

Go to the Need a Partner section from the sign up Link, and select what level you’re willing to play. Complete player #1 only, leave player #2 blank. Then daily we’ll share the list of those needing a partner with you. (Once you have a partner, create a new registration as a team and select your level of play.)

To participate, we need teams to be signed up as doubles and indicate the level of play you are participating in. (Competitive or Recreational, and only one member of your team needs to complete this registration.)
